This is renamed woohoo and I think this is super inappropriate and should be removed tbh. The teens in the sims are what, 16-18? Yeah I think it’s not okay. And before people say teens have sex I have a 17 year old son and 19 year old daughter and I know and trust they are innocent.

2021.10.27 04:36 Sarmentines Identifying to a race
First of all, i'am totally serious despite of how it will maybe sound. I just want to know and i am curious.
I was randomly thinking about stuff, and sometimes strange idea like this one strike me.
If you consider that you can express your gender depending to what you identify, and not your sex. You say that the people feelings and their inner identity is more important and define them better than their outer-self. Something like that if i have a good enought understanding of the gender theory.
By extending the same reasonning, if someone identify and truly feels beeing a race he is not born. Say an African identify as white, the opposite or whatever. Wich would make maybe even more sense in cases like adoption where they were raised with the culture of a race that is not their genetical one.
Somebody that would identify as a race wouldn't have to strictly follow their culture but anybody could identify as any race, whatever their genes.
Is it already a thing that i just never came accross ?
If not, why would we not accept that ?
// English isn't my first language and i quite never express in english. I have 0 idea how bad or not this is, any feedback is welcome.

2021.10.27 04:36 _temporarylie Uncomfortable being a regular customer
Bit of an odd question but does anyone else feel anxious or avoid becoming a regular at a place? E.g. going to a particular cafe or restaurant a lot to the point where you might develop a casual friendship with the business owners.
For example, I don't have a regular mechanic. Whenever I need to get an oil change or do maintenance on my car, i'll read reviews and go to a different place each time lol.
I don't know why but it makes me less anxious if they don't know me and I'm just a random anonymous customer. I think maybe the root of it is I'm afraid that they'll get to know me eventually and form a negative opinion of me? It seems silly and irrational saying it out loud now but can anyone else relate??

We are the best thing to happen to rewards tokens to date. We see ourselves as a long-term project and plan to work extraordinarily hard to deliver for our holders. Based on our project $ShibaDash rewards will be awarded in $SHIB. Therefore if you simply hold tokens 6% of rewards will be allotted in $SHIB
Here at $ShibaDash, our goal is simple. We want to truly reward our holders. Most other reward tokens give out small rewards and they don’t really make it worthwhile to hold their token. We want to change all that. We’ve been working incredibly hard to find creative ways to make the best rewards token we possibly can. So here’s what we’re doing to change the game.
Now on top of all this we also have a really neat buy-back staking feature we’re going to be implementing at launch. After every buy and sell, 1% of the transaction is sent to a wallet. This wallet keeps building, then at a desired amount, we stake the holdings of the wallet. After staking is finished we use these funds to purchase $ShibaDash in times of low volume or during dips. Then these tokens are reflected back to our holders. That is three separate ways we reward you for buying and being a loyal holder.
Coming in the following months after launch, we plan to release our own re-loadable crypto credit card! From our Rewards Hub, you will be able to choose the card as an option and the instantly have your rewards sent to the card in a usable currency. You will be able to make purchases anywhere that a regular credit card would be accepted.
So surely you don’t want to miss out on our up coming presale, this is one true gem of a project. Be sure to join our telegram group and follow us on twitter for all the latest information!
💰We will have a large marketing push at this point and advertise EVERYWHERE, we aleready have a huge budged collected from external investors. Hi all. I hope you're well. TW just in case anxiety talk makes you anxious.
Work has been giving me really intense anxiety. Like... Cannot get up and go to the work desk level of anxiety. ESAs aren't recognised in Ireland, so I don't have any power to get one in my apartment. My therapist has appeared to be away, and missed our session yesterday, and I just need some advice.
What actionable things do you use that helps you calm down enough to get through the day. (I have meds that overall, but one of them I shouldn't be taking every day)

2021.10.27 04:35 Monkey-Scientist Rant Prompt Contest #6: A Tale of Swords, Space Magic, and KFC (Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity Review/Character and Plot Rant)
Trust me, that title is not clickbait and will make more sense as we go along.
So, what is Phantasy Star? Originally a quartet of classic Sega JRPGs with the original Phantasy Star games, before evolving into a MMO with the release of Phantasy Star Online. Nowadays, most people probably know it for the burning trash-heap that is Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. However, the franchise is much larger than that and has over 20 games. This may not seem like much, but at least half of those were MMOs or had long-lasting online servers. And yes, a lot of these titles (especially today's subject) are fairly obscure.
By far, one of the black sheep of the franchise will always be the Universe sub-series. Despite being popular in Japan at the time of its release, Universe was received rather mixed internationally. A lot of this came down to Sega shitting the bed when it came to managing the servers or release schedule, or just poor management in general. However, I still liked the Universe games and especially their handheld spinoffs. Before we get into Portable 2 Infinity, let's talk about what Universe is as a series.
The Universe Games
Phantasy Star Universe was released in 2006 and took place in the same universe as Online did... I think. Look, Phantasy Star continuity is very dense and THICC, plus several parts of it are vague at times. Regardless, Universe was this game that was hyped as being essentially the next PSO, or what amounted to a sequel to it.
The first game even had a story mode like the classic Phantasy Star games... And it sucked. You played as Ethan Waber, a dumbass teenager who fumbles his way through 12 chapters of idiotic nonsense. Along the way he meets two pervs (one of which is a robot), two hot elf chicks (who are later revealed to be sisters), gets hit by a space limo (which kicks off the plot in the first place), and is generally a moron for most of his screentime.
Worst part is that you actually have to beat the game as him to unlock the ability to play as your own custom character. Which wouldn't be a problem if the story is good, but I digress. Ethan would be phased out of the games in later expansion packs or sequels, being relegated to a guy you met from time to time in story mode or in side quests. He was never a main protagonist again, probably for good reason. For each successive title in the series, the playable character is ALWAYS your custom character, just like in the Online games.
After the first game, we got the Ambition of the Illuminus expansion which featured 2 new story "Episodes" (aka chapters of the game's plot), along with tons of awesome side quests and online shit. Also, Dark Falz from PSO is now here... Just cuz. Also, the Illuminus are not Phantasy Star's version of the Illuminati, despite their similar names. They're just a bunch of shadowy bad guys looking to resurrect the SEED (the villainous attacking monsters in this series).
Phantasy Star Portable was a side story meant to bridge the first and second games. You are tasked with helping a brand new CAST (robot person) named Vivienne deal with a possible new SEED threat, especially when a mysterious evil woman named Helga Neumann shows up. Yeah, you may notice that several characters have American names like Ethan, Karen, Helga, Olson, Pete, Hal, etc. I imagine this was done to appeal to American audiences, which didn't work surprisingly enough.
That brings us to Phantasy Star Portable 2, the last Universe game we'd get in America. Portable 2 told the story of whiny teenager Emilia who works for the offices of Little Wing and grows as a person over the course of the game. I'll get more into the plot and character as we go along, but first we must discuss Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity!
So much to do, so much to see, so what's wrong with playing Infinity~
Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity is probably one of the few Japanese-exclusive games that I wished we actually got. It's an expansion/sequel to 2, containing the base game of the original (classified here as "Episode 1") along with a new story cleverly called Episode 2. It contains TONS of new content, including thousands of new weapons, various new clothing options, promotional tie-ins with real life fast food places, an interdimensional crossover with a previous game, shit tons of new quests, and a new "Infinity Mission" system.
Infinity Missions are basically randomly generated missions with tons of modifiers, such as more EXP or better drop rates. Then you have the "Rebirth system", allowing you to essentially infinitely level up by resetting your level and gaining permanent stat boosts. Since this is Character Rant though, let's rant about the characters and plot!
Episode 1: Emilia Sucks
So, the plot of Episode 1 is that you get stuck in some ancient ruins with an annoying girl named "Emilia". Emilia works for a security firm named "Little Wing" and they were sent to this ruin to check it out... I guess. Regardless, shit goes south and monsters awaken and thus, you must work together with Emilia to get out of there.
And I'll be honest, I don't like Emilia all that much. I find her to be obnoxious, even after she goes through a lot of character development. It probably doesn't help that the English version of the base game gave her an UNBELIEVABLY ear-grating voice. Thankfully, her Japanese voice actress is way better.
This doesn't stop Emilia from being fairly unlikable, since they ditch the whole "struggling teenager trying to prove herself" plot when it's revealed that she's a super genius with a brain powerful enough to operate the universe's greatest super computer. I'm getting ahead of myself though. So, we help Emilia beat the dungeon and the boss... Then we die. Emilia's like "Oh shit, no don't die!"
And then, she glows gold and grows magical angel wings and miraculously brings me back to life! That's a lot to throw on a person in the last two minutes of a tutorial quest! Afterwards, I'm brought to Little Wing's station, Clad 6. Once there, you're given a job with Little Wing and gain several perks: A spaceship, customizable room, and a storage so dense it'll take you a while to fill it up. One the downside, you are forced to partner with Emilia, but every job has its downsides.
You now work for Kraz though, Emilia's legal guardian and raging alcoholic. Kraz is amazing, from his gruff appearance and voice to his general personality. He undergoes a transformation throughout the game, going from a lazy drunk to being a complete badass and legitimate parent for Emilia. Also, the first time we see him fight is in a custcene where he activates a Black Nanobeast transformation. Keep in mind that this transformation is rare and can often result in a lot of team-killing. So, seeing Kraz use it easily and without consequence is amazing.
Then we have Chelsea, who is a CAST (essentially a robot). Her whole character trait is that she's sassy and French... And that's pretty much it. I do love Chelsea though, her personality is incredibly bubbly and memorable. Plus, her special limit break attack is just her summoning wine bottles and then shooting them at her enemies. It's the most French attack ever made.
We also have Yut, who joins the crew very early on. He's a "Kasch" warrior, a tribe of warriors who originally created Mirage Blasts. Mirage Blasts are the new limit break moves that humans and Newmans use BTW. Despite the seeming importance of the Kasch, the only Kasch we ever meet is Yut himself.
Yut is a complete dork who loves pudding and has to learn the lesson that despite being a warrior, he should never actively seek out or be unafraid of death. Yut's alright, but he can grate a bit at times with the whole "I must rush in to death to get stronger!" shtick. It does lead into some good characer moments from him in episode 2 though.
Ursula is also great, being a hard-ass with a whip and great fighter. She works as a good counter-balance to Kraz, being more of a motherly figure that holds the group together. Makes sense, because she eventually becomes Emilia's mom in the ending and marries Kraz.
Now, this is a sequel to the first three Universe games. Being a sequel, it's only natural for the cast of the previous games to show up here. Tonnio and Liina are the big standouts here, as they were the only two characters from the old games to join Little Wing in the initial base game.
They really don't have much of a basis on the plot, since they're only around for a couple of chapters. Tonnio and Liina themselves are Beasts (furry-like werewolf people) and are also designed to look just like children. Why? Well, some Beasts are just to designed to look like children despite being adults. They're also married, making things VERY uncomfortable. Also, there's a side quest in the game where it turns out she's pregnant.
As JonTron would say: STOP!
Yes, I know Japan is different and I know that these characters are not actually children. However, having them look and sound IDENTICAL to children makes it very uncomfortable. I can kind of see why these two aren't in a lot of the game, I imagine it would've been hard sell to worldwide audiences because of it.
It also turns out Emilia's body houses the spirit of an ancient named "Mika". Mika died long ago and is sort of the mother of all humanity, I guess? I wasn't a huge fan of her character with, the whole "blonde Mother Theresa" shtick got old fast. However, whenever she takes control of Emilia's body, it makes for some great cutscene fights!
The villain of the game is the very bland Kuhman, who isn't a terrible villain. I like the idea of his goals being to resurrect his race by having them possess the bodies of all the current races. This could create some much needed drama, if Kuhman wasn't a complete monster who killed his wife. I feel like they had a neat idea for a villain here, but he just kind of comes off as forgettable most of time. Doesn't help that he only shows up 4-5 times and generally doesn't do much until the final chapter.
Back to the plot, Kuhman is collecting all the things and our heroes have to stop him. At the same time, we help Emilia grow as a person, learn that she's a super genius, do a lot of pointless filler shit (including retreading classic PSO content), and then eventually facing and defeating Kuhman.
The story isn't terrible, but man it could've benefitted from a shorter length. Episode 1 is TEN chapters long and only half of those feel important to the story. Thankfully, Episode 2 benefits from trimming the plot considerably to 5 chapters and having way less padding. But before we get to that...
Episode 1.5: Gurren Lagann goes to KFC
So, there is cross promotion with KFC in this game. And it's AMAZING! On certain quests where there is no big boss monster, you'll have a chance of coming across a portal that takes you to the fabled land of KFC! Yes, there is KFC in space and you go there and who is there to greet you? COLONEL SANDERS HIMSELF!
Don't ask how he came back from the dead and went into space to sell people ketchup and mustard guns, he just did. When I went there, I was dressed as Gurren Lagann (yep, more cross promotion) and spoke to the Colonel, who gave me his partner card. From there, I invited the Colonel on EVERY side mission.
Colonel Sanders and Gurren Lagann became inseparable, like they were meant to be a team. Gurren Lagann with his Giga Drill and Colonel Sanders with his cane, the unstoppable duo. Oh and Emilia and Yut were there too, but who cares?
Regardless, I love insane cross promotion like this. KFC is apparently way more popular in Japan than it is in America, to the point where most Japanese families have KFC on Christmas. So, the Colonel being immortalized in this weird obscure action RPG is amazing. God bless random cross promotion!
Episode 2: Nagisa's story rocks
Episode 2 takes place not long after Episode 1. Hyuga (the raging pervert from the original PSU games) returns and has a fight with a mysterious chick with a huge sword. You and Emilia join in and the party gets REALLY crazy. After fighting big sword chick, she escapes and then you head back to Little Wing.
That's where big sword chick shows up and reveals herself to be "Nagisa" and the bigger twist is that she houses ANOTHER Ancient spirit named Wineharl. Wineharl is a gigantic pervert, much like Hyuga. He even tries to get you to grab Nagisa while she sleeps, like DAMN. Nagisa herself is also kind of a dunce as she prefers to solve everything with her sword and I mean EVERYTHING.
There's even a part where she goes to ask Kraz a question and thinks that it's a good idea TO HOLD HIM AT SWORD POINT. However, the plot still has to advance so even after she does that, Kraz still gives us the info. So, what is Nagisa after? She wants to absorb 108 shards. What do the shards do? I dunno, but they apparently created the Deumans!
Hyuga (who was previous a Newman) and Nagisa are the only Deumans in the game, yet they make this Deuman thing out to be an outbreak. While the player character can be a Deuman too, it really doesn't matter to the plot. In fact, I feel like the Deuman thing could've been handled a lot better.
Regardless, Nagisa needs the macguffin shards to do... Something and you have to help. Emilia is absent for most of the story, which is fine by me! So, the game goes through 5 chapters, including a fun beach level where you get partnered up with... Vasque and Kunoh?! Yeah they're both minor characters in the first episode and are generally background NPCs, but now the game suddenly teams you up with them!
Vasque is a cool robot dude and Kunoh's some lady in a red jacket. It's weird that we would get partnered up with these incredibly minor characters for one mission, but I did enjoy their company! After that mission, it's revealed that the shards that Nagisa are shoving into her body are actually the SHARDS OF DARK FALZ! WHAT?!
Yeah, let's shove shards of the series' main villain into our bodies! SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT IDEA! Well, it turns out it isn't and Nagisa goes nuts, attacking everyone at Little Wing. And then I'm forced to fight her... And then I kill her and get the bad ending.
Turns out what I'm actually supposed to do is run around like an idiot in circles as she bares her emotions to me and Emilia! It makes sense, but at the same time it's kind of dumb you'd code a fight into this part of the game even though you're not supposed to actually fight her! So yeah, after doing the right thing and running around like an idiot, the true villain is revealed: Wineharl!
Wineharl takes control of Nagisa's body, threatens to ram his giant spaceship into Clad 6, and it's up to our heroes to stop him! After fighting through this giant white space castle, we reached Wineharl. This whole time Wineharl has been trying to convince Nagisa not to give up and succeeds, causing all the shards of Dark Falz to go into him. And this was his plan all along!
You see, Wineharl isn't actually evil! Wait, what?! Yeah, turns out this was all a ploy by him to force character development on Nagisa. Yeah, let's just ignore the fact that he threatened to crash a giant ship into Clad 6, that he sent armies of monsters after us, and that he enacted this whole plan without detailing it to anyone. Anyway, he merges with the shards and become Dark Falz Dios, we kill him, and Wineharl is fine afterwards. I mean, he is a ghost after all and can't really die any harder than he already has.
Wineharl and Nagisa say their heartfelt goodbyes and then Wineharl ventures off into the afterlife. Nagisa is then left alone and runs off to be on her own. Eventually though, all the members of Little Wing who got their asses kicked by her earlier show up to wish her a happy birthday! She has friends now, HUZZAH! She's even welcome back on Clad 6, despite tearing that place apart! DOUBLE HUZZAH!
Yeah as stupid as this plot gets at times, I like it a lot more than episode 2. It helps that Nagisa and Wineharl are less generic than Emilia and Mika. I feel like they have more chemistry here and I like the idea of Nagisa being this person who's inept at talking to people and has memory issues because of the shards she absorbs. Being a person who used to be awful at talking to people and who has really bad memory in real life, I found myself relating to Nagisa a hell of a lot.
And as much of a lecherous perv and psychopath that Wineharl can be at times, I found him really enjoyable. It helps that both him and Nagisa are on the same level of crazy at times, so they balance each other out. I also like how Wineharl can hack Visiphones and leave messages, that was neat!
Episode 2.5: Cleanup
So, we talked about the plot and characters of the first 2 episodes. What I failed to mention is a lot of the returning characters, since 90% of them are allocated to bonus side content that's not a part of the main story. One of the exceptions to this is Lumia Waber, Ethan's sister. She was originally a dorky little girl with pigtails in the first couple games, but in the three year game between the first game and this, she had a massive glow up!
She's pretty much Alien Force Gwen Tennyson now, complete with magical powers and the same hairstyle! I honestly liked Lumia a lot in this, because her whole arc is that she's tired of living in her brother's shadow and wants to prove herself as her own person. She often takes on a "holier-than-thou" attitude, which often makes her clash with Emilia quite a bit. I honestly really like that she's become this kick ass member of the GUARDIANS after all that shit she went through in the first two games.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention the GUARDIANS! Basically, they're space police who go around and kill the SEED or other vicious monsters. Think of them as being this series' version of Green Lanterns, if they were all anime teenagers and pervy robots. Something important to note is that in previous games, the GUARDIANS had no real dress code. I think this was done because the player character was a member of the GUARDIANS in all the old games, and it makes sense that if the player's outfits aren't restricted than this would apply to the rest of the cast too.
So, all the GUARDIANS are given rather preppy looking outfits in this game. They look kind of lame, but they fit the GUARDIANS better than just having them be "Casual Friday every day". Anyway, the GUARDIANS show up more in the Tactical Missions you do after major quests in the game. During these you meet back up with Ethan, Karen, and even Vivienne. Also, fun fact but you can import your save file from the first Phantasy Star Portable into this game. Nobody will recognize you, EXCEPT Vivienne.
Anyway, these quests are fun because it feels like a good epilogue to these characters. I don't personally like Ethan all that much, but I like that after saving the universe he ends up as just another GUARDIANS member and not their leader or something. Laia is the leader of the GUARDIANS now, because catgirls make the best politicians.
Speaking of Tactical Missions, I'd be remissed if I didn't mention the best one: "Beyond Time and Space". Okay, so a big plot point of Phantasy Star Portable 2 is "Subspace", the ability to bring thoughts and memories to life. You end up going on a "manned Subspace flight" with the now genius Emilia and the no longer suicidal Nagisa. By going into Subspace, you launch yourselves to Ragol AKA the planet where the original Phantasy Star Online games took place!
You end meeting up with Red Ring Rico (prior to her possession by Dark Falz) and journey through truncated versions of all the original areas from PSO Episode 1. Along the way, you find out that Rico is actively seeking death as well by blindly chasing after her master, Heathcliff Flowen. And just like in the original PSO, by the time you reach him he's mutated into Olga Flow!
Unlike the original Olga Flow though, this one wasn't mutated by Dark Falz through contact with him, but rather through direct possession! Yes, this Olga Flow is TECHNICALLY another incarnation of Dark Falz. It shouldn't even be called Olga Flow anymore regardless, since Olga was actually an AI that got fused with Flowen and it seemingly does not exist in this version. But I'll let continuity slide just this one time, because this is so freaking rad!
After a badass teamup with Rico against Olga Flow, we defeat him and... Save Flowen?! Yes, in this version Rico and Flowen don't die. You seemingly destroy Dark Falz forever, despite the fact that Dark Falz in the original PSO was practically unkillable in normal circumstances. Again, we'll let it slide because it's badass! And yeah, we've effectively rewritten the original PSO to have a happy ending. Rico and Flowen survive, Dark Falz is gone forever, and they can seemingly colonize on Ragol now!
You go back to Gurhal feeling accomplished... Except now you have Rico's Hunter Card and can summon her somehow?! I guess the cards operate on Subspace technology and we can just magically pull Rico into Gurhal now! Regardless, this is essentially the "post game" finale to Infinity.
And well, I think that covers most of the post-game content. Oh, I also took Colonel Sanders to Pizza Hut, which exists in this game. I'm surprised the universe didn't explode from this interaction, seeing one fast food mascot/former owner visit a competitor's establishment. It truly is a thing of a beauty.
Episode 3: The Conclusion
I love this game! I feel that despite being a part of the more obscure Universe sub-series of the franchise, Portable 2 Infinity works as a great sendoff to said sub-series. I honestly wish it left Japan or that it saw some kind of re-release on later consoles. Infinity is really damn enjoyable and I love its greater additions to the mythos. Sure, the story can be predictable at times with some overdone anime bullshit thrown in there.
But I love what it did with characters like Lumia, Kraz, and Ursula. And man, every time I see Chelsea I can't help but smile! She's so adorkable and cute! God, I love French robots. If you want to play it, you can always use the English patch on GBA temp, though this will require other emulation or buying the game for PSP and hacking the console.
tl;DR version: My weapon of choice in this game is the GIGA DRILL BREAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER~

2021.10.27 04:35 BurningRoast Where should we draw the line on animal cruelty?
So I recently saw about this girl who microwaved her small pet turtle because she was bored and it disgusted me especially when she had no sympathy and said it was “just a turtle” . Then I started wondering, why exactly am I bothered about this? I mean there are people who boil lobsters alive and I don’t feel anything towards it. Killing spiders or ants can also be considered cruel to animals but only the cute animals are the one who gets protected. Dogs, Cats, Hamsters, Mice or Rats. There was this one guy who did an elbow drop on a crocodile and everyone talked about how epic and how much of a mad lad he was rather than talking about eh crocodile.
So where should the line be? Only for animals that are cute? If someone hurt an animal that isn’t cute, would they feel any remorse towards it? If that animal didn’t make any noises to indicate it’s pain, would we care?
